  • Position / Specialty: OR Tech
  • Shift: 5x8 Nights (2245-0715)
  • Avg. Daily Census: 50-60 cases/day.
  • Years of experience REQ: Minimum 3 years' experience required.
  • Weekend REQ: Yes- Weekends are once a month with a total of 16 hours of obligation.
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes- will float within scope of practice.
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
  • RTO Restrictions: Discuss RTO with manager - all time off must be reviewed and approved by manager.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours.

    • Required Certifications: BLS required, CST preferred.
    • Is on-call REQ? Yes- required as needed for the department.
    • Pending License accepted: N/A- no license required for this role.
    • Special Requirements: Must be in IL 3 business days prior to compliance HDD in order to meet fingerprinting requirements.
    • Required Work Setting Experience: General OR, Teaching Hospital, Trauma.
    • Required Skills/Experience: Direct Laryngoscopy, Radial neck dissection, Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, Tracheostomy, Colonoscopy, EGD, Peg tube placement/exchange, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection - Open/LAP, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Abdominal hysterectomy, Anterior/Posterior repair, Bilateral tubal ligation, Dilation & Curettage, Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures, Vaginal Hysterectomy, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion, Repair of fractured jaws, mandibular and zygomatic, Orthopedic Case Skills, Plastic Surgery Case Skills, Trauma Case Skills, Urology Skills, Emergency management Skills, Equipment/Instrumentation/Supplies Skills, Professional Knowledge and Skills.
    • Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure.
    • Teaching Hospital Experience Preferred.
    • Trauma Level I Experience Required.
